What is classified as an Urgent Repair?
At Real Homes Realty, we understand that urgent repairs may arise, especially during weekends or after hours. According to the Residential Tenancies Act, certain repairs are considered emergencies and require immediate attention. Urgent repairs include:
- A burst hot water pipe/service.
- A blocked or broken toilet system.
- A serious roof leak.
- A gas leak.
- A dangerous electrical fault.
- Flooding or significant flood damage.
- Serious storm or fire damage.
- Failure or breakdown of essential services such as hot water, cooking, heating, or laundering.
- Failure or breakdown of the gas, electricity, or water supply.
- Any fault or damage that makes the premises unsafe or insecure.
